We are excited to offer you an unforgettable 4x4adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of southern Albania, startingfrom the historic town of Gjirokaster. This full-day tour combines the thrillof off-road driving with cultural immersion, local culinary delights, andspectacular natural scenery. From exploring charming villages and crossingrugged mountain trails to savoring traditional dishes and discovering hiddenwaterfalls, this journey offers a perfect blend of excitement and relaxation.


What to Bring:

We recommend bringing comfortable clothing and hiking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, and a camera for capturing the amazing landscapes. Most importantly, bring a sense of adventure and curiosity!

Terms and Conditions:

•       Minimum group 2Pax  (12-75 years old)

•       Bookings must be accepted at least 12 hours in advance of the starting time.

•       Please inform us of any allergies, food allergies, chronic diseases, or surgeries you have had in the past.

•      Dress Code: Proper shoes for hiking, sunglasses, appropriate attire for hiking, sun cream, swimming suit and extra water.

Itinerary

Departure from Gjirokaster
Our journey begins at 08:30 in the morning from Cerciz Topulli Square in Gjirokaster the UNESCO World Heritage town, renowned for its well-preserved Ottoman architecture and rich history.

Picar and Kolonje
We will drive through the scenic countryside, passing through the villages of Picar and Kolonje. Enjoying the serene rural landscapes and observe traditional Albanian village life.

Golem
Continue our off-road adventure, navigating the rugged terrain towards the village of Golem. Witness the transition from gentle hills to more challenging mountain paths.

Mountain Crossing to Progonat
Traverse the mountain trails leading to Progonat. Take in the stunning panoramic views and enjoy the thrill of mountain driving.

Tasting local products in Progonat
In Progonat, you will savor handmade local sour cream paired with a bit of traditional raki. Immerse yourself in the local culture and enjoy authentic Albanian hospitality.

Hike to Peshtura Waterfall

Peshtura Waterfall, one of the gems of this area, offers a refreshing escape. Surrounded by lush greenery and rocky cliffs, its flowing waters provide a serene backdrop for relaxation and exploration. If you want here you can also have couple of minutes swimming.

Lunch in Gusmar
Here you will enjoy a delicious lunch featuring locally sourced ingredients. Depending on the weather and time, you may also learn how to cook petanik (a traditional Albanian dish) and gather fresh vegetables from the restaurant farm. Engage with the local community and experience farm-to-table dining.

Tepelena Internment Camp

On your return, we will take the normal road back, making a brief stop at the Tepelena internment camp. Reflect on Albania's history with a visit to the internment camp, a poignant reminder of the country's past.

Arrival in Gjirokaster

Conclude your adventure back in Gjirokaster in the late afternoon or early evening.
