Itinerary

1
Day 1: Arrival & Wine Tasting in Berat
Upon arrival at Tirana Airport, we drive towards Berat, a UNESCO-listed city known as the City of a Thousand Windows. With its well-preserved Ottoman architecture, winding stone streets, and historic castle, Berat is a must-visit destination. After checking in, we explore the city’s charming quarters before heading to a local winery for an authentic wine-tasting experience, where we’ll sample Albania’s finest wines and learn about traditional winemaking.

Day 2: Off-Road Adventure from Sinjë to Ferma Grand Albanik
After breakfast, we begin our off-road adventure, passing through Sinjë and Gllava, a historically significant site from the Italian-Greek War. We stop for lunch at a local restaurant, tasting traditional dishes from the region.
Our journey continues off-road towards Ferma Grand Albanik, a renowned sustainable tourism retreat in the mountains. Here, we dive into the world of herbal medicine, learning about the healing properties of local teas such as:
Mountain Tea (Çaj Mali) – Known for boosting immunity and digestion.
Sage Tea (Sherebelë) – Used for relaxation and respiratory health.
Chamomile Tea – A natural remedy for stress relief.
We enjoy a farm-to-table dinner and spend the night in this tranquil retreat, experiencing true eco-tourism.

Day 3: Hotova-Dangëlli National Park & Benja Thermal Baths
We start our day with a breathtaking off-road ring drive through Hotova-Dangëlli National Park, one of Albania’s most scenic routes. After an exhilarating drive, we unwind at the Benja Thermal Baths, famous for their healing properties. Those who prefer can take a swim in the crystal-clear Vjosa River, one of Europe’s last wild rivers.
In the afternoon, we visit a local house for a traditional dessert tasting, experiencing the flavors of the region. We then check into a guesthouse in Përmet, known for its warm hospitality and home-cooked meals.

Day 4: Nivica & Progonat Canyons – Off-Road & Waterfalls
After breakfast, we head towards Nivica and Progonat, two of the most breathtaking canyon regions in Albania. We stop at a local farmhouse to taste authentic yogurt cream, made using centuries-old techniques.
We then embark on a short hike to Peshtura Waterfall, a hidden gem surrounded by lush nature. After enjoying the waterfall, we take an off-road mountain route to Gjirokastër, passing through panoramic villages.
Upon arrival (around 16:30-17:00), you’ll have free time to explore the city’s famous bazaar and immerse yourself in the stone-built charm of this UNESCO city.

Day 5: Off-Road Through Zagoria & Labova e Kryqit
We set off on an off-road adventure through the Zagoria National Park, passing through authentic villages, scenic landscapes, and remote trails perfect for 4x4 enthusiasts.
We stop for lunch in a village known for its rich history and local cuisine, before visiting Labova e Kryqit, home to one of the oldest churches in Albania. Built in the 6th century, this Byzantine masterpiece is said to have once housed a fragment of the True Cross.

Day 6: Libohovë, Drino Valley & Butrint
Our journey continues through the Drino Valley, offering stunning mountain and river views. We stop in Libohovë, a small town rich in Ottoman history, before taking a hidden off-road route towards the Ionian Sea.
We visit Butrint, Albania’s third UNESCO World Heritage Site, an ancient Greek and Roman city with well-preserved ruins dating back over 2,500 years. After exploring Butrint, we head to a secluded beach, only accessible by off-road vehicles, where we set up camp by the sea.
As the sun sets, we enjoy a barbecue dinner, storytelling, and campfire activities under the stars.

Day 7: The Coastal Drive – Adriatic Lagoons & Wildlife
We drive along the spectacular coastline, passing through Laguna e Nartës, Darëzezë Beach, and Karavasta Lagoon—protected areas known for their rich biodiversity. Here, we can enjoy:
Birdwatching – Spot Dalmatian pelicans, flamingos, and rare migratory birds.
Fishing – Experience traditional fishing techniques with local fishermen.
For our final night, we stay at a coastal eco-lodge, enjoying a farewell dinner featuring the best seafood and traditional Albanian dishes.

Day 8: Return to Tirana
Depending on your flight schedule, we have time for a relaxed morning exploration before driving back to Tirana Airport for departure.
